The GE Universal Fit 7.5-ton packaged heat pump rooftop unit (catalog GD483, chassis ZHD092S5MN) provides reverse-cycle heating and DX cooling in a single packaged curb unit. It suits electrification and shoulder-season efficiency jobs where a heat pump RTU is specified.

Configured for 460V, 3-phase, this model includes a 2 HP blower (1 drive) and supports optional electric heat for backup/defrost and cold-climate design loads. Confirm electric heat kit sizing for the climate and building load — heat pump capacity alone may not carry design winter conditions.

Universal Fit footprint, heavy-gauge cabinet, and full-perimeter base rails support replacement work on common commercial curbs. Current packaged models use R-454B with factory refrigerant detection. Pair with the correct economizer, outdoor-air, and electric heat accessories for the B-BOX cabinet.
