The GE Universal Fit 5-ton packaged gas/electric rooftop unit (catalog GC874, chassis ZGD060S5E) combines DX cooling with factory gas heat in one curb-mounted package. It is a typical choice when the job already has gas at the roof and the existing unit is gas/electric.

This configuration is 208/230V, 1-phase, with 150 MBH dual-stage gas heat, Low NOx compliant, and includes an ECM blower. Universal Fit footprint design supports common commercial curb replacements so crews can change out the unit with less curb rework when dimensions match.

Heavy-gauge cabinet construction, full-perimeter base rails, and accessible gas/heat and compressor sections support serviceability. Current Universal Fit packaged models use R-454B with a factory refrigerant detection system. Confirm Low NOx / Ultra-Low NOx requirements, LP conversion needs, and economizer/curb accessories against the heat digit and A-BOX cabinet before order.
